The Provincial Court of Huelva has sentenced a man to one year in prison for defrauding an insurance company through complaint of false robberies in different business premises in the village of El Rocío, in Almonte, for more than 240,000 euros.
The sentence considers this person responsible for a crime of fraud with the concurrence of the mitigating partial repair of damage, because before the trial he had already partially returned the amount of the sums received, for which he imposed, in addition to the prison sentence, the payment of a fine of 1,100 euros, Efe collects.
In terms of civil liability, you must indemnify the insurance company in the amount of 54,875.19 euros, figure that remains to be returned from what was obtained illegally. He is granted the benefit of the suspension of the jail sentence for two years conditional on satisfying the civil responsibility in said period and does not commit a crime.
In the cause The owner of the businesses who has been acquitted was also accused. It is considered proven that this woman contracted several insurance policies for the business premises she had in the town of El Rocío with an insurance company, which, among other coverage, specified that of theft.
The defendant, moved by a desire to obtain an illicit patrimonial benefit, dreported to the company, with knowledge of the falsity of the same, three robberies: one for 52,000 euros; another for 97,000 euros and a third for 93,000 euros.
