One new case of Covid-19 was registered in Latvia last day, but seven more Covid-19 patients recovered within a week, according to the latest statistics compiled by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPC).

During the last 24 hours, 1574 Covid-19 tests have been performed in Latvia, but so far a total of 193,445 examinations have been performed. According to the data of July 21, 1,045 patients had recovered from Covid-19, but according to the data published on July 28, the number of recovered people has reached 1,052.
According to the National Health Service, no new patients with Covid-19 have been hospitalized in the last 24 hours. Two Covid-19 patients are currently being treated in hospital. Both patients have a moderate course of the disease. To date, 190 patients have been discharged from the hospital, including both those who have recovered and those who have died.
Since the Covid-19 outbreak in Latvia, a total of 1,220 people have contracted the disease caused by the new coronavirus, of whom 1,052 have recovered and 31 have died, according to SPKC data.
