Gaming casinos have been closed since the coronavirus pandemic spread in Chile, something that has impacted employment and also the tax revenues obtained through taxes applied to the industry.
In that context, the chain Enjoy informed the Financial Market Commission (CMF) in April that it was carrying out all possible reorganizations to avoid its bankruptcy.
And because of the same crisis, the firm removed a hundred executives in recent days, which will also lead to a series of job readjustments to safeguard its continuity.
Through a statement quoted by the newspaper El Mercurio, Enjoy said that it will adapt its executive plan “to the size of the business planned for the coming periods.”
Along the same lines, the company expressed that they will have to adapt “to a different industry which was known prior to the pandemic. “
In our country Enjoy manages businesses -among game rooms, restaurants and hotels- in Antofagasta, Chiloé, Coquimbo, Los Angeles, Pucón, Puerto Varas, San Antonio, Santiago, Villarrica and Viña del Mar.
In addition, its operations in Argentina (Mendoza) and Uruguay (Punta del Este) are also indefinitely paralyzed.
Before the pandemic, the company had a total of 6,600 employees, of which just over a thousand held executive positions (managerial and / or professional).
