Oncology patient reports delays at the INEN to obtain urgently needed certificates

Lorena Barranzuela Albán, 49, suffers from breast cancer and currently the disease has metastasized to his lungs. She urgently needs some certificates issued by the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases (INEN) to be able to process the withdrawal of their AFP funds in order to be able to face the high costs of their treatment.

However, as denounced through the Rotafono, the INEN it is taking a long time to issue these documents: an oncological affidavit and a certificate of invalidity.

According to his version, Barranzuela Albán came to Lima in January to do the paperwork, but a month passed and failed to obtain the certificates. She was forced to return to her native Piura without the documents.

INEN says that there is no one to sign the documents, that they wait for me until March. With a diagnosis like the one I have, this would have to be done immediately ”, claimed the woman, who was constantly coughing due to the progress of the disease.

Need the money

The woman made a request to the INEN authorities to take action on the matter and can access the certificates you need to process the withdrawal of funds from the AFP, since -he said- his family is in debt due to the high costs of his treatment.

According to him, the most recent operation to which he underwent demanded expenses in excess of 19 thousand soles. Lorena Barranzuela noted The last thing you want is to leave debt to your loved ones.
