Last day, 2137 Covid-19 tests were performed in Latvia and six new cases of the disease were registered, according to the information compiled by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC).

Three patients are contact persons, one has returned from Poland, one is related to an outbreak at Murjani Sports Gymnasium, and one patient has been contacted to clarify additional information. The epidemiological investigation is continuing, reports the SPKC.
In total, 210,046 examinations have been performed in Latvia so far, 1,281 persons have become ill and 1,070 have recovered. 32 Covid-19 patients died.
Data from the National Health Service show that one new patient with Covid-19 was hospitalized in the last 24 hours. At present, five patients are treated in hospitals, all with a moderate course of the disease. To date, 193 patients have been discharged from the hospital.
