The birthday
As a gift, he would obviously have preferred something other than this nasty metatarsal injury which will deprive him of the first day of Starligue! But it is all the same on his two feet… and relieved of his orthosis that Elvar Asgeirsson, that the Icelandic center-half of Grand Nancy will be able to celebrate his twenty-seventh birthday with dignity this Saturday.

Quite a few things, but why not a little tour of Gérardmer, for the first day of a weekend placed under the sign of triathlon. First to jump into the water: the competitors of the “XL” event… on the bridge from 8.45am!

It happened on September 4th
In 2015. At the World Championships in Aiguebelette, Pierre Houin was crowned world champion for the first time (for seniors) with the tricolor lightweight four-seater, alongside Maxime Demontfaucon, Damien Piqueras and Morgan Maunoir. A success that calls for others … Already awarded, a few weeks earlier, gold in the U23 (in a single scull, in Plovdiv), the Toulois won “Olympus” the following year (in 2016, at Rio) with Jérémie Azou. Before participating in the double lightweight victory at the Sarasota World Championships in 2017.
