British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that the first death from Omicron was recorded.
“Unfortunately, Omicron leads to hospitalization and, unfortunately, it has been confirmed that at least one patient has died from Omicron,” he said during a visit to a clinic in West London.
According to him, “Omicron” is a milder version of coronaviruses, which, nevertheless, is spreading very quickly.
Note, before that, the World Health Organization stated that it has not yet recorded deaths in patients with Omicron.
