The Casino de Tenerife hosts on Friday, August 20, at 6:00 p.m., a meeting between the only two Canarian journalists who covered the last Olympic Games in Tokyo. For an hour, Manoj Daswani and Norberto González will share their experiences and experiences in the Japanese country, in a colloquium organized by the Tenerife Sports Press Association (APDT) and moderated by one of its directors, Adriana Martínez Jurado.
Manoj Daswani (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 1982) has a degree in Communication Sciences from the European University of Madrid. He serves as Head of Sports for Radio Club Tenerife and SER listeners, as well as the readers of El Día, As and Sport have enjoyed his Olympic coverage. They were his third Games, because before he was also in London and Rio de Janeiro.
Norberto González (Las Palmas, 1978) is one of the most recognizable voices on Radio Nacional de España. He has covered the last two editions of the Summer Olympic Games with extraordinary solvency, as well as a ‘final four’ of the Euroleague, a Eurobasket and the last Basketball World Cup in China. His work is closely linked to Canarian sport.
The initiative has the backing of the Casino de Tenerife, which has donated its noble hall for the occasion. The event will have exceptional measures given the current health situation, so the capacity will be reduced. At the end of the colloquium, those present will be able to enter their queries and comments in relation to the last Games. Various island athletes related to the Olympic movement have confirmed their attendance.
