According to the agency LETA, Krūmiņš has dislocated his elbow in the collision, which has been put back. The X-ray performed on Thursday did not show a fracture of the arm, but next Monday it is planned to perform a magnetic resonance, after which it will be possible to more accurately determine the severity of the injury and the time within which the basketball player could return to the field.
Krūmiņš also suffered a serious injury in the final match of the Tokyo Olympic Games, breaking the lower leg ligament. However, the basketball player was able to help win the championship despite the obvious pain.
In addition to Krūmiņš, Agnis Čavars, Kārlis Pauls Lasmanis and Nauris Miezis also won the Olympic gold awards as part of the Latvian 3 × 3 basketball team.
