Olympic bobsleigh champion Olsen ends his career – Sports

US bobsleigh player Justin Olsen has decided to put an end to the athlete’s career and will focus on coaching in the future, reports the US Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (USABS).

Olsen, 33, has not started since February last year.

In 2010, pusher Olsen became the Olympic champion in the quadruple competition as part of pilot Steven Holkomb’s crew. He also won gold medals at the World Championships in 2009 and 2012 in the Holkomb crew, as well as won the World Cup seven times.

In 2010, Olsen tried his career as a pilot in the North American Cup, starting in 2016 as a full-fledged person. As a pilot, he once climbed the podium in the World Cup doubles competition.

USABS Olsen will work as a starting coach for bobsleighers and skeletonists. His partner will be Gerette Hayes, who in 2002 became the Olympic vice-champion in the four-man competition in Todd Hays’ crew.
