Olomouc – Brno 1:4, Kometa wins over Olomouc

Brno created the first big chances of the match during the power play, but Šalé’s attempt only hit the post and Kollár narrowly missed from the rim. Soon after, Furch held the puck in front of the goal line during a dangerous jam. Olomouc’s Konrád also made a good save from Rašek’s shot from the rim.

The second period started with the same caution with which the first part of the game ended. After five minutes Musil presented himself in front of Furch, but only hit the Brno goalkeeper’s concrete. Furch then also intervened against Navrátil’s shot, and the home Konrád covered Koblížko’s effort in short succession.

The first important goal of the match was scored by Kometa in a power play, when Kučeřík’s drive in front of goal was directed past Konrád by Flek. Olomouc could have equalized immediately, but Kuska’s shot into an open goal was stopped by one of Kometa’s players.

The third half began with Olomouc’s power play, during which Furch scored twice against Navrátil. Soon after returning from the penalty area, Pospíšil decided to take an inconspicuous shot and Konrád was saved by the goal structure for the second time. Subsequently, the Olomouc goalkeeper kept his team in a separate break from Koblížek, who only went into the trap.

However, Kometa took a two-goal lead as Holík managed to outnumber two to one. Olomouc quickly reduced their lead, ex-Brno striker Plášek introducing himself with an accurate shot into the top right corner.

Then Kometa capitalized on the second power play of the match and increased the difference again to two goals. Among the scorers was Zaťovič, who headed Kundrátek’s shot into the net from the left. Kollár then sealed Brno’s victory during the home team’s power play into an empty net.
