Olivia, alias “Chika Music”, arrived in Cuernavaca, Morelos, from her native Cancún, Quintana Roo, after the pandemic due to Covid-19, to look for an opportunity to transcend his greatest passion, which is music, and for this he pays for his studies by singing on the routes of the metropolitan area.
“I currently live here in Cuernavaca, I study music, thanks to all of you, at the Benning Academy and well, every day I go out to earn a peso like all of you, singing songs on the roads and beautiful places in Cuernavaca,” he said in an interview for El Sol de Cuernavaca.
The capital of Morelos was the place of arrival in 2020 after the health contingency, where has sought to open up various opportunities as a working woman who goes out every day to earn her daily bread, accompanied by her ukulele, with which she delights the passengers of public transport units.
“I started here in Cuernavaca three years ago on Route 18, I arrived from Cancun with the pandemic and I hope it will be many more years… Cuernavaca has treated me extremely well, its people and everything is spectacular, every day I meet someone new, I talk even with the stones and I love the vibe here in Cuernavaca”he indicated.
She added that it was necessity that drove her to go out to the streets of the municipality to earn some money.and to be able, in addition to paying for her studies, to put food on the table, since she said that since her arrival in the state she has lived alone, so she has had to solve her way of life with this activity.
He obtained his first instrument in 2016, But he said that he kept it to himself for a long time, until he decided to go out into the streets and play music, with nerves and sadness, which he had to put aside.
“I got on the road, little by little, with a lot of sadness and fear, but now I’m getting out and I know that people like it,” he added.
He has also promoted his activity in music on social networks and for this he created the YouTube channel “Chika Music Cover”, where he shares a little of what he does with his work.
