The oil company Saudi Aramco issues additional shares in the course of its IPO. The Saudi Arabian company announced on Sunday that it would sell an additional 450 million shares. This brings the IPO to a record volume of $ 29.4 billion (€ 26.51 billion).
The stock was last around $ 9. After the state-owned company went public in December, it was traded as the most valuable company in the world.
The over-allotment option, the so-called greenshoe, is often included in IPOs. It states that if demand is high, shares can be issued in excess of the original volume.
