O’Higgins firefighters receive personal protective equipment – 2024-04-17 14:54:15

With financing from the regional government, the Firefighters of the O’Higgins region received personal protective equipment, in order to provide greater safety to volunteers from the 33 fire departments in the region, in an event held this Tuesday morning in Plaza Los Héroes in the city of Rancagua.

This event was attended by the Regional Governor, Pablo Silva Amaya; the regional president of Firefighters, Juan Luis Fabia; the presidential delegate, Fabio López; the regional councilors, Jacqueline Jorquera, Alex Ramírez, Lenin Arroyo and Mauricio Valderrama, the protocol mayor of Rancagua, Valentina Cáceres and councilors of the commune of Rancagua.

The Regional Government allocated more than 3,830 million pesos for the security and equipment of firefighters in the O’Higgins region.

On this occasion, structural uniforms, boots and capes were delivered, which are within the project “Acquisition and Replacement of Personal Protective Equipment for Firefighters in the O’Higgins Region”, which was financed through the National Development Fund. Regional.

These new equipment have the highest quality standards, in accordance with the demands and regulations of Chilean firefighters.

Part of the equipment received consists of 1,564 structural personal protection suits, 1,892 pairs of boots, 1,892 capes, 465 breathing equipment and 334 uniforms.

The firefighter Javiera Jorquera Gálvez and firefighter Marcos Pérez Lipin, belonging to the First Company of the Requínoa Fire Department, representing their colleagues from the O’Higgins region, received the new personal protective equipment from the authorities present.
