Today, OnePlus announced not two, but three smartphones in its new OnePlus 9 family. The OnePlus 9R is this third smartphone, announced as a kind of gaming smartphone and that actually has a lot in common with the OnePlus 8T with interesting updates that put it halfway between the OnePlus 9 and the Nord 100. The OnePlus 9R will be a very desirable smartphone in the mid-range, but possibly they won’t have it anytime soon.
This is because – go ahead and know why – the OnePlus 9R will be available only in India, at least for now. But it is important for OnePlus to change that, and quickly.

The center of the OnePlus 9R is in its Snapdragon 870 processor, an evolution of the Snapdragon 865 and which, in terms of gaming, offers a very important performance for the mid-range segment. We can choose between 8 or 12GB of RAM and a maximum of 256GB of internal storage in UFS 3.1 memories.

The screen is the same first generation Fluid AMOLED that we found on the OnePlus 8T, with FHD + resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, with a perforation for a 16MP camera. Since we are in the cameras, a 48MP main unit celebrates with OIS, accompanied by a 16MP wide angle, a 5MP macro and a 2MP monochrome.
–
Like the rest of the OnePlus 9, the OnePlus 9R comes with stereo speakers and a 4500mAh battery with Warp Charge 65T capable of charging the entire battery in just 29 minutes. The only fundamental difference in relation to the other two OnePlus 9 is that in the 9R we will not have wireless charging.
In India, the OnePlus 9R has a price close to € 460, which is not particularly competitive, but still this smartphone has good arguments for a premium experience at an appealing price in the true spirit of OnePlus.
