Official mod support for Starfield may be coming soon

Bethesda Studios announced the suspension of the so-called Creation Club, a service that allows you to easily download and install mods in the team’s games.

The break was dictated by the need to carry out large-scale maintenance work. The service will stop working on the morning of November 29th. It is currently unknown how long this will last. Downloaded mods will still be usable – you won’t be able to simply download and install new ones.

It’s unclear exactly what changes will be made to Bethesda’s modding services. However, fans speculate that during the hiatus the studio will lay the groundwork for introducing official mod support for Starfield and integrating the game into Creation Club.

It should be recalled that, although many mods have already been released for Starfield, so far they are being made in a makeshift way, using fans’ knowledge of the engine from previous parts of the series. Bethesda has already announced official modding tools that will be released next year. So players have hope that thanks to the work done on creating mods, the toolkit will be available soon, and not, say, at the end of 2024.
