Offices open again Offenbach

Public traffic will be possible again from Monday. However, under the hygiene and distance rules.

In both Offenbach and Darmstadt, the city offices are open to the public again.

The previously restricted services of the city of Offenbach will be fully available again from Tuesday, June 2. The city communicates this. Accordingly, the departments can be visited again personally after making an appointment. The paths in the buildings are controlled in such a way that people meet as little as possible and there is enough space in the waiting areas. Customers are required to wear a mask everywhere, and the distance of 1.50 meters must also be observed. Appointments are currently released on Wednesdays for the following week. The only exception: the veterinary office also offers its services without an appointment. Regardless of this, many services can still be used online.

From May 26, the construction office will allocate dates for the period from June 2. When visiting the city archive, it is recommended that you specify your research goal when you make the appointment so that documents can be prepared. The Immigration Office has already provided citizens with appointments from June 2 onwards. The housing, insurance and registry office, business development and the surveying office also offer all the usual services. The Citizens’ Bureau, which was open all the time, is now restarting its schedule. Private registration services and car dealerships can be used to register motor vehicles.

In Darmstadt, the administration begins with the opening of the first offices on Monday, May 25th. Then the Citizens’ and Ordnungsamt in Grafenstrasse, the vehicle registration office in Rüdesheimer Strasse and the registry office with all locations reopen. An appointment is necessary for a visit. Personal contact is also reduced to a minimum: processes that are possible even without a personal interview are still processed contactlessly. Mayor Jochen Partsch (Greens) announced this. Wearing mouth-nose protection is mandatory for all visitors. Admission controls will also be set up at the entrances to the authorities. Anyone who shows symptoms of illness cannot enter the town houses. Wherever possible, cut-off wheels and path controls will ensure largely protected encounters. mr
