Right-back Sèrge Aurier, capped by Côte d’Ivoire, and Tottenham have terminated their contract by mutual agreement, the London club said on Tuesday.
Signed from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017, the 28-year-old has scored eight goals in 110 official games for the spurs and, speaking to Tottenham’s official website, “thanked his time at the club”, this year coached by Portuguese coach Nuno Holy Spirit.
“I really enjoyed the time spent in the spurs and would like to thank the club and the fans, but I feel this is the time to start a new challenge”, it reads.
Trained at Lens, the northern French emblem for which he made his senior debut, in the 2009/10 season, Sérge Aurier later represented Toulouse, between 2011/12 and 2013/14, and Paris Saint-Germain, between 2014/15 and 2016/17.
