The city of Offenbach will start the “Offenbach Summer Nights” cultural festival in June – among other things on the grounds of the Parkside Studios in the Mathildenviertel.

The cultural management of the city of Offenbach and the Parkside studios want to organize a cultural festival on the courtyard of the former social building of a factory in the Mathildenviertel. The project is part of a new series of events that should start in July despite Corona – the “Offenbach Summer Nights”.

The festival in the courtyard of Parkside Studios is scheduled to run from Thursday to Saturday from the beginning of July to mid-August. With the old industrial building as the backdrop, cinema, theater and live music are planned. The event organizers include the cinema initiatives “Lederpalast” and “Filmklubb” as well as the “Rebellische Studiobühne”.

“It is important to me to offer local artists space in this difficult new time,” emphasizes Mayor and Head of Culture Felix Schwenke (SPD).

The municipal Capitol Theater, which wants to open the Max Dienemann Hall for performances – also primarily for local cultural workers – is also involved in the “Summer Nights”. A classic open air is also planned at the harbor basin – to be experienced from the car. Further program items are planned and will be presented by mid-June.
