The OFC had more of the game and came in the 32nd minute to the deserved 1-0 lead by Soriano. Bojaj had previously blocked a shot on goal, and Soriano turned the rebound into the top left corner of the goal with a shot from the turn. Bahlingen responded with a double chance. Pepic initially moved free standing in the penalty area, Falahen failed because Flauder safely parried. The Kickers with the last action before the break whistle, an alleged handball in the Bahlinger penalty area after Firat shot, was not punished by the referees.

After the change first Bahlingen in the counter game forward, the Kickers with the first change after almost an hour. Fetsch came into the game for the ailing scorer Soriano and had a great chance after a few minutes of play. After an intercepted ball, he moved towards the guests’ goal on his own, instead of trying to close himself, Huseinbasic and Firat missed the imprecise pass and the opportunity to make a preliminary decision. The OFC now, however, with its strongest phase of the game and attacking actions on the outside. On the left Bojaj repeatedly staged Garcia, but his flanks lacked the final precision.
