The «Spiegel» magazine travels to the new crime scene of Commissioner Charlotte Lindholm with Udo Lindenberg. In the quick check, there is only 1 out of 10 points. Wrongly – a replica.
He doesn’t find any nice words «Spiegel» in his «crime scene» quick check. Call the Lindholm episode from Hamburg an “egg liqueur excess when shooting”. Even more: “This ‘crime scene’ looks as if those responsible had a film tear.” At the end of the day it is even recommended that instead of consuming the Sunday crime thriller, you should rather watch “Das Traumschiff”.
Definitely too harsh a judgment. Well, director Detlev Buck (“Measuring the World”, “Hands Off Mississippi”) is having fun in his “Tatort” premiere.
Dramaturgical arc of suspense with flashbacks
In total panic, Charlotte Lindholm wipes blood from her fingers. Blood from her blind date, which she finds murdered in the legendary Hotel Atlantic in Hamburg. A splatter-like image shows him being stabbed. But how does a Commissioner get into such a situation? Buck tells this in a flashback and flashback story.
Already in the first few minutes of the plot it becomes clear: This is one of those experimental “crime scenes” that polarize. It’s not just the leaps in time. This episode also plays with obscure, shrill characters. So director Detlev Buck slips into the role of the – supposedly clever – pimp Einstein. And «4 Blocks» leading actor Kida Khodr Ramadan dredges the superintendent in the battered karaoke club (great!)
And yes, it udolt as far as the eye can see: in the hotel lookalikes cavort at a competition – and the original sings, pardon me, mumbles. Udo Lindenberg lived in the luxury hotel for a long time and is said to still have a suite as a second home. Monthly cost: 5000 euros (5193 francs).
In between there is a kind of “shining” scene with the spooky twins in the long hotel corridor.
Overdressed?
Were all these elements created in the «egg liqueur excess» during the shoot, as Spiegel writes?
Rather not. Screenwriter Uli Brée (inventor of the «Vorstadtweiber») can definitely look back on some «crime scene» experience. He has already come up with a few cases for the Viennese duo Krassnitzer / Neuhauser. This time he probably wanted to go a step further and let off steam. Good this way. Or rather: keep it up!
