The experiment launched at the end of May with 28 large companies has proved to be conclusive. The Ministry of Labor has therefore decided to generalize the offer to vaccinate employees against Covid-19 within the company. A stock of 100,000 doses will be established for this purpose.

From next week, the occupational health services will be able to directly order doses of Moderna vaccine via the website of the Ministry of Health, to vaccinate employees, franceinfo learned from the Ministry of Labor on Wednesday, June 9.
A dedicated portal will be set up so that orders can be placed from June 14. The vaccination can begin the following week, that of June 21, upon receipt of the doses. The ministry specifies that each occupational physician will be able to order up to a hundred doses per week. A stock of 100,000 doses will be established for this purpose.
A 10-day experiment was launched on Tuesday, May 25 in 28 large French companies (RATP, Safran, La Poste, etc.) and occupational health services which had access to the Moderna vaccine. It will be generalized because of the “success” of this pilot operation for which “the feedback is positive”, indicates the ministry.
“It allows employees to be vaccinated in their professional environment which makes their lives easier”, reacted Élisabeth Borne, the Minister of Labor, Employment and Integration. “We can now take this new step which will allow companies and occupational medicine to fully play their role in vaccination against Covid-19”, she continued.
Previously, occupational medicine only had the AstraZeneca vaccine because of the storage and supply conditions. This expansion should make it possible to reach a greater number of employees since the AstraZeneca vaccine is reserved for people aged 55 and over.
