Occitanie. Golden Age Services supports professional retraining

Golden Age Services will recruit 250 people this year in France, including around fifty for the Occitanie region alone. A pioneer in home support and the well-being of the elderly, the network will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year. “We support 40,000 seniors per year and we have 2,000 employees in our 120 locations,” explains Maélis Anselin, its director of operations and development. Golden Age is recruiting in a growing sector, France will have 30% of seniors in 2050 and 90% of the oldest aspire to stay at home as long as possible. “But the health crisis is also playing a role in the progress of our activity. It has proven that the social bond is fundamental and that the home is a structuring place for the safety of the elderly and fragile ”, she notes.

Golden Age Services is looking for candidates for its home support activities: positions of carers, housekeepers, sector managers, administrative assistants, gardeners, guides, or delivery people for its agencies in Toulouse Nord, Montpellier, Agde and Alès. “These skills are sanctioned by state diplomas accessible at a CAP level. In Occitanie, these are mainly full-time permanent positions. We offer skills development and integration schemes with a referent within our agencies, ”says Maélis Anselin.

Golden Age Services is also looking for its future franchisees

At a time when the health crisis is likely to have severe consequences on employment in certain sectors. Golden Age Services reminds that these professions represent interesting opportunities for professional retraining for those who so desire. “Everyone’s skills can be reused in our sector and upgrades are possible in a very short time. “We must of course be concerned about the well-being of the elderly and frail. “Our first value is the esteem of seniors. We will be attentive in the candidates to their ability to listen and exchange. »In a sector in tension, the network seeks to create the conditions to attract and retain its employees. “We therefore recommend offering a salary that is at least the minimum wage plus 10%. We have a dynamic training policy and we are diversifying our missions, for example with an introduction to IT, ”continues Maélis Anselin.

In addition to employees, Age d’Or Services is looking for franchisees in Occitanie, in particular for the sectors of Nîmes, Tarbes, Rodez and Castres. “Here again, these people may be retraining who wish to give meaning to their professional activity and who are keen to create jobs. »A Bac +3 profile and management and business management skills are required. “An interest in the personal services sector and a sensitivity to the subject of aging are also preferable. ”
