But today the presidential election at the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation came out a bit surprisingly. The challengers around Neo President Klaus Hartmann won the race. But the result is likely to be contested.
It was a thoroughly turbulent general assembly with some unsightly requests to speak on the premises, in which the Villach carnival is also held annually and which in part also reminded of it.
As expected, the decision was extremely tight. The Hartmann Group won with 133 to 121 votes and now heads the association.
Immediately after the election results, however, it was announced that the same would not be accepted. The Upper Austrian ice hockey association immediately announced opposition and wants to contest the result.
The whole is justified with an allegedly not timely and not normally signed receipt of the election proposal by the Hartmann Group. However, the “election winners” are certain that everything met the requirements and withstood an objection.
The Neo Presidium would also like to hold talks with the ÖOEHV again and try to solve this.
