The obstetrician gynecologist Jesus Garcia He died this Thursday, August 20 in the Capital District after being complicated by COVID-19, informed leaders of the health sector of the Venezuelan capital.
He was eight days interned at the University Hospital of Caracas (HUC), according to Mauro zambrano, leader of the Syndicate of Hospitals and Clinics of Caracas and the Intersectorial de Trabajadores de Venezuela (ITV).
Jesús García was part of the board of directors of the Maternal Infant of Caricuao Dr. Pastor Oropeza, where he currently served as head of the Gynecology and Obstetrics service, according to union representatives of the health center. Worked in the hospital for over 35 years.
“A man of impeccable career, kind, friend of friends, loved by the hospital community to whom he always gave his joy,” he said. Pablo Zambrano, Executive Secretary of the Federation of Health Workers (Fetrasalud). Peers also described him as a great teacher and mentor at the institution.
