NYT journalists compared images from different days, concluding that “several dark objects resembling the human body in size” appeared on Jablunskas Street from March 9-11. On April 2, the photographer confirms that the corpses are in the same position as the Ukrainian soldiers who entered the city.

Another video analysis shows the bodies of three people on Jablunskas Street. Satellite imagery shows that these corpses appeared on the street in the 20th and 21st centuries. March, when the city was still under the full control of Russian troops.

Russia’s foreign ministry on Monday rejected allegations of atrocities by Russian soldiers, saying “while the city was under Russian military control, none of its inhabitants were subjected to any form of violence.” The Russian side calls the horrific images of Bucca a fake.
