Rachel, now 34, had long felt she was not cut out for monogamy. She ignored her instincts, however, when she met Kyle, whom she married in 2016.

After three years of marriage, Rachel and Kyle have decided to become an open couple. They then met Yair and Ashley.

“We all got on well together, like we had been friends for decades. We couldn’t stop talking to each other, writing to each other and spending time together,” says Rachel.

The two couples then divorced on their own to merge their lives and their families. They moved in together in 2021.

Two years later, however, Kyle decided to leave this union to four, which was particularly difficult for Rachel.

“He is a very special person and I will always love him. We were best friends and partners,” she says.

The remaining trio now hope to move to a city where they can be recognized as family and possibly have children.

“If possible, Ashley and I would like to carry a child each; Yair would be the biological father of the two children.

The three lovers have seen their lifestyle criticized by several people over the years.

“Strangers sometimes comment, but people often hate what they don’t understand or what scares them,” says Rachel.

The latter claims to have toughened up in the face of criticism and is convinced that her love situation is the one that suits her.

“Monogamy isn’t the only option for experiencing true love,” she says.
