Nvidia RTX Remix Modders Unveil Need For Speed: Underground 2 Remaster with 4K and RTX Technology

Not long ago, we informed you about the release of the Nvidia RTX Remix tool, with the help of which modders from the community can implement modern technologies from Nvidia such as Path Tracing, RTX IO or DLSS 3 in older games. The technology is currently in public beta after a period of internal testing. The result is the first projects like Max Payne RTX Remix, Portal: Prelude RTX or Mafia RTX Remix.

Now the modder group, which in the past months has been working on the RTX remaster of the now cult racing Need For Speed: Underground 2, has also volunteered to speak. EA Black Box released the part that is still valued among fans of the series in 2004. Improved version offers support for 4K resolution combined with 60 FPS.

On top he adds the mentioned technology from Nvidia led by ray tracing and DLSS. The gameplay footage he posted is available in the preview above IGN magazine. If you are interested in this unofficial remaster, you can at at Moddb.com download the free demo.
