NVIDIA issues warnings about RTX 4090 cable issues

As powerful and as amazing as the new Geforce RTX 4090 graphics card is, the fact is that NVIDIA is facing some complaints about its cables melting, which prompted the company to post a statement online yesterday (22) acknowledging the problem. Understand the question below!

The problem is that its 16-pin connectors were more prone to melting than expected, and what started out as isolated reports on Reddit soon turned into further complaints on social media, with even international lawsuits being filed against NVIDIA.

This prompted the company to issue a statement saying it was “investigating approximately 50 cases of disconnected power cords around the planet.” In one sense, the numbers aren’t all bad for NVIDIA, as it has sold around 125,000 GPUs, so the defect rate is only 0.04% for now.

Naturally, all customers affected by the problem received new cards and wiring free of charge. As pointed out by the portal Game joke, it is also possible that these cases involve human error on the part of customers, therefore further investigation is required. In any case, NVIDIA recommends that you install all power cables securely before inserting the card into your PC.
