Nurse Diagnosed with Cancer after Suffering from Severe Hiccups for a Year

An abnormal condition in the body is a warning sign. A 24-year-old nurse nurse in the United States was diagnosed with cancer, mainly due to sudden hiccups. According to the “New York Post” report, Bailey McBreen from Florida revealed that she rarely hiccups, but since October 2021, the number of hiccups has suddenly increased, and she will hiccup 5-10 times a day. Until February 2022, she developed severe gastroesophageal reflux symptoms, but she was diagnosed by a doctor, who attributed the cause to anxiety.

Later, she did a computerized tomography scan and found a tumor in the colon. “My tumor was in the transverse colon, and it gradually became larger and caused intestinal obstruction.” Although excessive hiccupping is not a symptom of colon cancer, doctors believe it may be the beginning of symptoms. Just when she was told that she had stage 3 colon cancer, she confessed that she was unbelievable, as if she was out of her body, “I sat in the corner of the room and watched the diagnosis results, and I felt that time slowed down and my heart beat faster.”

Fortunately, Bailey successfully removed the tumor through emergency surgery, and then started chemotherapy, and has now successfully fought the cancer.
