As the L2 season restarts this weekend, we are highlighting some nuggets to follow this season.
Dogan Alemdar (Troyes)
Exchange of good practices this summer between Rennes and Troyes: the solid Gallon joined Brittany and to compensate, Rennes sent Alemdar to Aube. A good pick for both clubs, but also for the Turkish goalkeeper who will be able to benefit from playing time in one of the favorite clubs for the (re)rise. After 18 appearances in Ligue 1 UberEats®, the young hopeful needed a full season. He will have the opportunity in the Manchester City subsidiary, so it is up to him to show the Rennes leaders that he can embody the future. It’s up to him.
Ilan Kebbal (Paris FC)
The former Reims player is somewhat in the same situation. Loaned to Paris FC last season, the pocket leader will have convinced. Author of good matches, 4 goals and 7 assists, the native of Marseille definitely joined the capital for 2 million, a nice little sum at this level. But he will certainly be able to flourish in Paris and continue to show all his talent. His technique and his game certainly make him one of the thrilling players to follow this year in Ligue 2 BKT®.
Logan Delaurier-Chaubet (QRM)
His name does not necessarily mean much to you, and yet the people of Bordeaux know him well. Trained at the club, the right winger began to impose himself in Gironde and the hopes placed in him were confirmed. But it was without counting on this dear Guion, who decided to send the player on loan to QRM. Said like that, it sounds like a punishment. But it could be a boon for Quevilly, who gets a real good little player, who can continue his progress.
Himad Abdelli (Angers)
Angers may be under reconstruction, but one thing is certain: Abdelli will be one of the architects of the site. Author of a superb end to the season in L1 with two goals and two assists in the last 5 games, the versatile midfielder should float in the second division. If he stays, because he does not hide his desire to find the elite, leaves from the SCO. Quickly. We understand him, but we hope for the Angevins that he will stay.
Zuriko Davitashvili (Bordeaux)
After only one season in L2, the Georgian is already almost a safe bet. The now best Georgian player in Ligue 2 BKT® still intends to progress and gain consistency. With 5 goals and 3 decisive pasts, his training will have been correct but there is no doubt that the winger can do much more, and Bordeaux is counting on him to take another step and regain his rank. He will have to be effective quickly, he who will not have had much vacation after his elimination in the quarterfinals of the Euro U21 against Israel. But it’s already back to school, go zou Riko.
Ibrahim Sissoko (Saint-Etienne)
Brilliant at Niort, then brilliant with the foufous of Sochaux, Sissoko will now have the difficult task of shining at Sainté. Krasso’s official replacement will have to lead the Greens’ attack, and that’s far from obvious. But with 41 goals for 101 games in L2, the Malian knows this championship and could win without trembling. A little fun fact about our friend Ibrahim: he has known 7 different clubs and none have paid transfer fees to have him under contract. Reassuring? Not necessarily.
Bingourou Kamara (Pau)
There was a long time ago when Bingourou Kamara was considered one of the future best goalkeepers in France. Holder in L2 with Tours at 19, captain of the U19s of the France team, the goalkeeper had gold in his hands. Unfortunately, not everything went as planned. After arriving in Strasbourg, the prodigy started on the bench, then in the CFA. He will have had his chance several times in L1 with Strasbourg then later with Montpellier but each time, the same observation: it’s not crazy. But at only 26 years old, Bingourou has just bounced back in Pau and (normally) finds a starting place in Ligue 2 BKT®, a championship perhaps more at his level. And then good at worst if it goes wrong, no Pau.
