NRK: 22 cases of monkey cups in Norway

To channels Siri Laura Feruglio, acting director of infection control and emergency preparedness at FHI, confirms that 6,000 infected people with monkey pox have been confirmed worldwide.

So far, 22 people have been confirmed to be infected in Norway. Everyone is a man.

– We have not seen such a large prevalence of monkey cups before, especially related to the environment where men have sex with men. There have been some reports of infection through intimate contact before, but never to the extent we see now, Feruglio says to NRK.
