Nature photography can capture moments that evoke power, fragility, destruction or vitality. But there is an international competition that specializes in funny pictures with wildlife as protagonists. The 2022 edition already has 40 finalists, who aspire to win the prize.
A fox that winks at us, a zebra that expels violent flatulence, a bear cub playing with a feather in its mouth, a squirrel that flies like a superhero or two monkeys playing are some of the images captured by photographers from all over the world.
The 40 finalist images that were selected can be viewed on The Comedy Wildlife website, where there are also photos from previous years. A real feast for the eyes and cause for fun.
The public can vote among the finalists until November 27th. It can be done via this link. The results will be known on 8 December. These awards have been held since 2015 showing snapshots that always reflect something unusual or funny, at least in our eyes, in the natural world. The fun side of wildlife.
