There is traffic in the northbound direction towards Oslo where it is now slowing. At 13.30 the delay was around 15 minutes, but there is still increasing traffic. Which means that the queues will probably be longer in the afternoon.
– It seems that people may have driven home earlier due to bad weather, says traffic operator Kristin Vårsjø at the Road Traffic Center to the Norwegian Public Roads Administration.
The queue starts at Rugtvedt where the new highway in Bamble turns into one field. Then it continues through the tunnels and over the Grenland Bridge before continuing all the way to Moheim.
At 13.30 the travel time between Dørdal and Larvik was calculated to be 51 minutes, but this may increase further beyond the afternoon. In addition to regular weekend home travel, holiday traffic has started.
