While more and more shops on the internet are joining the Singles Day craze, Black Friday discount day is celebrated worldwide on Friday 27 November. This is an initiative of the American online department store Amazon that was originally only celebrated in the United States but has since become a well-known discount day all over the world.

Amazon has already started special discount days on October 26 under the banner of ‘early offers’. Amazon does not officially celebrate Singles Day and so they made this up to join the craze.
