An almost one-hour dialogue follows in which Djokovic and Jafarieh talk about a spiritual delirium. It is about self-love that replaces any medicine, strengthens the immune system and frees people from any addiction – smoking, drinking, but above all the eternal fear in which we would live and which was a distraction from the essential: The search for the perfect harmony and balance between spirituality and science. People would have lost touch with their bodies. Djokovic says: «We are energy as we are chemistry. We humans are electrical beings. » Djokovic and Jafarieh rock up into a spiritual nirvana.

And then it becomes concrete. «On the tennis court you cannot rely on anyone but yourself. You win or you lose. It’s up to you, »says Djokovic. It is a look into his soul, a look also into his past. Djokovic grew up in Serbia, in a war-torn country. The bombs of the NATO troops have drilled holes in the wall against which he hit the first balls, and are still visible today. The scars have never healed.
Djokovic plays tennis as he grew up as a child – he is a fighter, a gladiator, in constant crisis mode. With persistence, relentlessness, perseverance, intensity. He calls the square, the arena, a “battlefield on which all dramas come to the surface” that would challenge him.

Novak Djokovic was already a seeker. Who is this Chervin Jafarieh?
He describes himself as an alchemist, whose mission is “to reconnect as many souls as possible with Mother Earth”. A spiritual brother. But also: a clever businessman, a marketer of himself, a professor, «an activist for health», not least since his father’s death a year ago.
Jafarieh is the founder of Cymbiotika, a company that sells nutritional supplements. He advertises the powders and sprays as gluten-free, vegan, and of course. They promise relief from complaints of all stripes: “Golden Mind” even stimulates the growth of new brain cells. Well, it says in the fine print that the remedy is not released by the FDA, the American food inspection and drug agency, and does not protect against disease as a diagnosis, treatment, therapy or prevention.
Djokovic himself had recently been critical of a possible vaccination against the coronavirus and had been heavily criticized for his comments. The Serbian Serbian epidemiologist Predrag Kon said: «As one of Djokovic’s biggest fans, I would like to have the opportunity to explain the importance and contribution of vaccinations to the health of the population. Now it is too late, he has given false ideas. »
Djokovic responded with a statement and said: «I have given my opinion because I have the right to do so and I feel responsible to speak about certain issues related to tennis. I am not an expert, but I want to be able to decide what is best for my body. »
