The Ultramarines, the main group of supporters of the Girondins de Bordeaux, gathered this Saturday, the day before the second round of the municipal elections in Bordeaux, at 4 p.m. Place Pey-Berland in front of the town hall. They hope to bring together several thousand people to support their request for a change in leadership.
The UB87 have been carrying out a sling for several months against the majority shareholder of the club, the American investment fund King Street and in particular the president, Frédéric Longuépée, whose departure is requested.
More than 2000 supporters are there. All generations are represented, from children to retirees over 70 years of age. In the crowd, the candidates for the second round of the municipal ecologist Pierre Hurmic and Philippe Poutou of Bordeaux in struggles are present, even if they do not have the right to speak
Note that the prefecture of Gironde published this Friday a decree prohibiting unreported gatherings in a part of central Bordeaux for Saturday, June 27. Without prohibiting this gathering, the prefecture indicates in its decree that this demonstration has not been declared.

Banners were displayed on the gates of Saint-André cathedral “Supporters standing against Longuépée”, “Clear Longuépée / Thiodet”, “Longuépée immediate departure lane 4”, yet another “Nous les Girondins” is placed in front of the Palais Rohan whose doors are closed. The chants of the supporters “And they are there, the Bordelais” resound in the square.
