The fiery president of El Salvador will no longer need to invest Parliament with armed men to force deputies to pass his laws, as he did a year ago. On Sunday, the party created by Nayib Bukele, Nuevas Ideas (New Ideas), won the legislative elections with a real tidal wave. The polls, then the first projections (the final results are expected later this week), credited him with around 65% of the vote, enough to hold the unicameral assembly of 84 members.
