Note: There is salmonella in this sausage!

The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate announced on Friday that some dried sausages were withdrawn from sale due to the risk of contamination with salmonella.

They are Saint-Azay sausages.

GIS said it had been informed through the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) that France Salaisons was withdrawing from the market and from consumers of the products identified below due to the possible presence of Salmonella.

These are Saint-Azay products: Saucisse seche droite, 250 g, batch number 3564700012246 and Saucisse seche courbe, 300 g, batch number 3564700012253, with the use-by date: all until and including 08/12/2020.

The distributor of the products in Poland is Scawar Sp. z o. o

As informed by GIS, the distributor initiated the procedure of recalling products from E.Leclerc stores. This process is monitored by the bodies of the State Sanitary Inspection. E.Leclerc stores contain information about the possibility of returning the questioned products.

Food poisoning may occur if food contaminated with salmonella is consumed.

GIS recommends that you do not eat the batch of products indicated in the message. Contact your doctor if you experience symptoms of illness after consuming the products covered by this message.
