Additional money, offered by the rulers to people who have lost their jobs due to the epidemic, will be available only until the end of August. Employees who said goodbye to employment after March 15 have the last days to submit an application for the so-called solidarity allowance.
People who lost their jobs as a result of the coronavirus epidemic have just over a week to submit an application for a solidarity allowance and thus take advantage of the last chance to receive money from the state. – You can apply for the solidarity allowance until August 31st. It must be done online, using the ZUS Electronic Services Platform (PUE) – reminds the regional ZUS spokesman in Lower Silesia, Iwona Kowalska-Matis, quoted by “Rzeczpospolita”.
Let us remind you that the solidarity allowance is a support for employees whose contract was terminated after March 15 this year due to the crisis caused by the pandemic. It is worth adding that money can also be obtained by those whose fixed-term employment contract has expired after the indicated date. The benefit is granted for the period from June 1 to August 31 of the current year.
It is impossible to receive money for the calendar month preceding the application. To put it as simple as possible: if we lost our job in June, and not being aware of the aid offered by the state, we will not submit the application until August, ZUS will only pay us an allowance for the current month. Persons applying for the allowance are reminded that the necessary condition is to work at least 60 days under an employment contract in 2020 (continuity of employment is not required).
The aid offered by the government can significantly support the home budget, which has been affected by the lockdown caused by the coronavirus. The monthly allowance is PLN 1,400 net. Moreover, the state will also pay the pension, disability and health contributions to the recipient of the benefit. Thus, from June 1, it was possible to obtain PLN 4,200, and PLN 260 million was allocated to the fund, “Rzeczpospolita” points out.
Registering as an unemployed person does not preclude you from applying for a solidarity allowance. However, once it is awarded, unemployment benefit will not be paid. The choice seems simple. As Rzeczpospolita points out, the employment office offers unemployed persons a maximum of PLN 881.30 gross.
