NOS bets on circular economy with smartphone recovery – Marketeer

The telecommunications company’s circular economy plan is nothing new. At the beginning of the year, NOS was the first operator in Portugal to make NOS Garantidos available, a range of refurbished smartphones for purchase, but in perfect condition, with a two-year warranty, at very competitive prices.

The new take-back program is part of NOS’ global sustainability strategy, which aims to be a reference on this front in Portugal and in the sector, committing itself to providing its customers with a wide range of products and services that are more responsible from a point of view. environmental and social, effectively contributing to the transformation of Portuguese society towards efficiency and carbon neutrality, as stated by the company in a statement.

The operator also clarifies that the equipment can only be taken back at NOS’ own stores by the legal owner of the mobile phone and in the form of private purchase, and there cannot be any service, rental or associated loyalty.

Customers can also calculate, through the NOS website, how much their smartphone can be worth for repossession. The actual value is only indicated in the store, after evaluation of the equipment’s conservation status.
