Norwegian starts a new route from Tromsø

From 10 September, Norwegian will start a new route from Tromsø to Bergen. This is stated by Norwegian’s information director Lasse Sandaker-Nielsen in a press release.

He emphasizes that it is a challenging time for aviation, but that the company will still try with two weekly departures between the two cities.

– There is always some uncertainty associated with the start-up of new routes, especially now during the corona pandemic, but we hope that the new offer will be well received, so that we can maintain the connection between these two parts of the country, says Sandaker-Nielsen.

The departures will be on Thursdays and Sundays.

Direct flights between Tromsø and the western village have in recent years been reserved for Widerøe and their newly purchased jets. Widerøe has daily departures to Bergen.

With the route to Bergen, Norwegian increases its direct flights from Tromsø to six. In addition to Bergen, Norwegian flies to Alta, Alicante, London Gatwick, Longyearbyen and Oslo Gardermoen.
