Norwegian Plane Forced to Turn Around and Land in Oslo Due to Cracked Windscreen

A cracked windscreen meant that a Norwegian plane on its way to Tromsø from Bergen had to turn around and land in Oslo.

VG mentioned the case first.

– The passengers are now on their way to Tromsø in a new plane, Norwegian press officer Grete Kruse tells BA.

She cannot say anything about the cause of the crack, but says that all planes go through a check every time they fly.

– It probably happened in the air, but I don’t know anything about the cause, says Kruse.

The plane had arrived a little north of Steinkjer when it turned around and landed in Oslo instead due to the damage to the route, VG said. Here you can see the plane’s tracks flightradar24.

The windshield is now being repaired at Gardermoen, writes the online newspaper.

Kruse informs BA that the passengers have been put on another flight to Tromsø.
