Northwest aims for a wider range of e-health

There are already many hundreds of e-health applications in the Netherlands. With the Digital Hospitality Hospital program, Noordwest wants to accelerate the digitization of its care delivery. So there are more and more digital options for patients, who may or may not choose. All this digitization is needed, because the national trend is that the demand for health care is on the rise and the number of available health workers is falling sharply.

The challenge of implementing e-health is to provide more care to more patients, with fewer people. And this, of course, while maintaining quality, accessibility and convenience. Noordwest is virtually building its future with digitization and literally doing so with the refurbishment of Den Helder and Alkmaar.

In home monitoring, patients send data on their health via smartphone or tablet by filling out questionnaires and self-measurements. In the fall of 2022, home monitoring in Noordwest will already be available for a first group of chronic patients.
