CALIFORNIA – A brush fire burning in the Saugus area of Santa Clarita County, north of Los Angeles, spread easily this Thursday and has consumed about 100 acres.
The so-called Texas Fire, which started near the 30568 block of Bouquet Canyon Road in Saugus, was spreading north amid the fuel and threatening to obliterate various structures, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.
About 115 firefighters were trying to control the flames and it is 0% contained at this time.
The Bouquet Canyon Road between Vasquez Canyon Road and Spunky Canyon were closed, firefighters at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station said.
