“If the United States and South Korea, as they say, carry out their project of military exercises, which we, with just and justified fears, consider as preparation for an aggressive war, then they will face an unprecedented, prolonged, unprecedented decisive response,” the statement said (quoted from Reuters).
The Foreign Ministry spokesman also called the United States and South Korea the instigators “intentionally violating peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and in the region.”
In his opinion, the United States is making the UN Security Council “an illegal apparatus for implementing a hostile policy against the DPRK.” The diplomat added that the DPRK would take additional measures beyond regular military action if the UN Security Council continued to follow the United States.
