North Korea has said its status as a nuclear state is “final and irreversible.”
This was stated by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK Cho Song Hui, RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to Yonhap.
Thus, she reacted to the condemnation of North Korea’s actions by the G7 countries, which condemned the illegal launches of ballistic missiles and said that under the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), it “cannot and never will have” the status of a state possessing nuclear weapons.
“The G7 does not have the authority or qualifications to determine the sovereignty and national status of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea,” Cho said.
She added that North Korea’s nuclear status “will remain an indisputable fact for thousands of years.”
