The celebration of galoshes and know-how continues to flourish in Val-de-Virieu

After an intense first day, the clog and know-how festival continues this Sunday, July 3 at the same pace.

Donkey Festival, twentieth edition! in Cessieux

It could be the title of a fable by Jean de La Fontaine, but “the donkey and the thistle” is in fact the emblem of the town of Cessieu. And the Donkey Festival, the festive variation offered each beginning of summer, during which the equine is the king of animals.

Colorful activities in a family atmosphere will follow one another all day from 10 a.m., as well as on-site catering at noon, to which will be added many surprises to mark the 20th anniversary of the event.

Exhibition: traveling with Berlioz at La Côte-Saint-André

With the return of the Berlioz Festival in August, the museum, the composer’s birthplace, is offering a new exhibition, Les voyages extraordinaires de Monsieur B. Hector Berlioz was indeed the privileged witness to an evolution, that of means of transport, where the ‘we went from diligence to steam.

It is this story that mixes science, technology, history and geography that can be discovered at the Berlioz museum. If the exhibition lasts all summer, a guided tour is organized this Sunday, July 3 with a guide speaker.

Heading for the island of La Platière at Péage-de-Roussillon

The Île de la Platière nature reserve is offering an open day this Sunday, July 3. Guided walks will allow you to discover the fauna and flora and the children will be able to go fishing for the small animals that inhabit the ponds of the site.

As such, visitors can count on a team of enthusiasts who will introduce them to their profession and their knowledge of nature. In addition, a stand presenting the nature reserve will provide a better understanding of this exceptional site on the Rhône river.
