Norman Reedus: ‘I think there’s going to be a second Death Stranding game’ – Gaming – News

Death Stranding protagonist Norman Reedus expects a second game in that franchise to arrive. The actor tells this in an interview with IGN Brazil. According to Reedus, negotiations are currently underway for a Death Stranding sequel.

“I think we’re doing a second Death Stranding,” Reedus tells an interviewer from IGN Brazil during a panel on the 11th season of The Walking Dead. “The game is now in negotiations,” he added. He does not provide any further details. Given that negotiations are still ongoing, the alleged sequel is unlikely to appear any time soon.

Reedus starred in Death Stranding, as courier Sam Porter Briges. A sequel to that game hasn’t been officially announced yet, but director Hideo Kojima said to . in 2019 Vulture that he would “start from scratch” if he did a Death Stranding sequel with Reedus.

Kojima’s next project has not yet been announced, but there have been rumors about a new title from the well-known director for some time. An employee of Kojima Productions reported in March that Kojima would show a new game relatively soon, also writes VGC. Norman Reedus told last year already that he is in talks with Kojima for a new game. However, there are also rumors that Kojima was going to work on an Xbox game.

Death Stranding was released for the PS4 in late 2019 and was also released for PC last year. The game has now sold more than five million times and will receive a Director’s Cut next month with additional content for PS5. PS4 users can also purchase the new content for ten euros, but it is not yet known whether the expansion will also come to the PC version.
