The director of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, recalled today by relaunching a tweet the recommendation he made in March to avoid greeting each other with the elbow because it does not allow to observe the recommended safety distance to avoid the infection.
“When greeting people, it is best to avoid touching each other with your elbows because that makes you less than a meter away from each other. I like to put a hand on my heart to greet people these days,” wrote the economist Diana Ortega in a message retweeted by Ghebreyesus.
